  • Occupational Health and Safety Concerns

    UNA Locals’ OH&S committees strive to represent nurses in matters related to health and safety in their workplaces they monitor working conditions and practices to ensure safe and healthy workplaces, provide a formal process for recommendations to eliminate hazard and ensure compliance with legislation, plus provide a systematic way to solve problems and eliminate safety concerns of nurses.

    Any UNA member who would like to become more knowledgeable and engaged can access UNA’s educational offerings, which provide members with a wealth of information, a space for discussion, and activity-based learning. Members can view the workshop schedule on the events calendar or in DMS under “Events.”

  • UNA Equity Caucuses

    United Nurses of Alberta’s Equity Caucuses provide a space for a diverse group of members to gather, advocate, and build awareness. The caucuses meet at UNA’s provincial Annual General Meeting and quarterly throughout the year.

  • Local 211 Bylaws

    Local 211 follows Bylaws and Standing Rules during each meeting and interaction. These rules and bylaws are informed by Provincial office as well as our membership, with changes to these rules being made during our Local Annual General Meetings.
