Local 211 Executive

Jacki Capper (She/Her)- President

Jacki has served in many UNA positions prior to being elected as President of Local 211 in 2007. In 2014 the position of President became a full time role to better align with the increased workload that a community local encompasses. Jacki has a vast knowledge of the Collective Agreement as well as the UNA Constitution and Policies and Procedures and thrives on having good debates! Her regular position is with Senior’s North Home Care. Outside of her work hours, Jacki is very involved in community organizations and loves spending time with her husband and children/grandchildren.

Michelle Senkow (She/Her)- 1st Vice President

Michelle has been a strong union activist since the 1988 strike, serving on several different local executives over her distinguished career in Grande Prairie, Calgary and Edmonton. Michelle has served as both 2nd VP and 1st VP with local 211, her regular position is with Adults Home Care. Outside of work, Michelle can be found engaging in her many crafting hobbies and spending time with her husband and children/grandchildren.

Faisal Kassam (He/Him)- 2nd Vice President

Faisal has been a union activist for many years, serving on the Joint Workplace Health and Safety Committee for Calgary Community before being elected first for Treasurer, and then 2nd VP of Local 211. Faisal’s regular position is with Health Link. Outside of his work hours, you can find Faisal spending time with his wife and daughter and working on his acreage.

Nicole Costello (She/Her)- Secretary

Nicole was recruited into union activity early in her career, with the union flame burning small but bright for many years. She served on the Joint Workplace Health and Safety Committee for Calgary Community before being elected as secretary. Nicole’s regular position is with Integrated Supportive and Facility Living. Outside of work hours, you can find Nicole engaging in her passion for learning and spending time with her dogs.

Stephanie Wu (She/Her)- Treasurer

Stephanie has been a quiet but mighty union activist for many years, serving first as unit rep for her worksite and then being elected as treasurer. Stephanie’s regular position is on the School Team with Public Health. Outside of work, you can find Stephanie practicing yoga, travelling, looking for new places to eat, and spending time with family and friends.
