2% RRSP/TFSA Employer Match benefit
RRSP/TFSA – Employer match means more money in your savings
One of the lesser known benefits available to UNA members is the opportunity to have the employer match up to 2% of savings made by UNA members.
Only 40% of eligible UNA employees are participating in this matching program - that is 60% throwing away FREE money and who can afford that in this economy!!
To be eligible you must be a UNA employees with a regular position. The employer will match up to 2% of their contributions (based on regular earnings) to a RRSP or TFSA.
Note: You can only be enrolled in one matching plan (either RRSP or TFSA), but not both. You can switch from RRSP to TFSA however there are annual deadlines to do so ….
Enrolment is easy and is done on-line
Go to www.manulife.ca/ahs.
Click on “Your Group Plans” on the left side of the page then click on “Enrolment”.

President Tip: Changing between TFSA and RRSP accounts must be effective April 1 of each year so the annual deadlines are usually in March. Check the Manulife website each year to find out what the deadlines are!!
